Editorial Review Policy

Editorial scores on UK Odds Board are independent assessments. They are not official ratings, regulatory grades, or guarantees of product quality. Operators cannot pay to alter scores or remove criticism.

How Reviews Are Conducted

Each product we review is assessed by our editorial team against a consistent set of criteria. Reviewers navigate the product as a typical UK user would: browsing sports markets, placing test interactions, checking the mobile interface, and reading the terms of any active promotions.

We do not place live money bets as part of our review process. We do not register accounts for the purpose of collecting welcome offers. Our assessment focuses on the product interface, information architecture, and responsible gambling features.

Review Criteria and Weightings

Market Coverage20%

We look at the breadth and depth of sports and betting markets on offer. This includes mainstream sports like football and horse racing, plus coverage of less prominent leagues, international events, and niche sports.

Odds Presentation15%

How clearly odds are displayed, how easy it is to compare options across different markets, and whether the interface makes odds navigation straightforward rather than confusing.

Mobile Usability20%

We review each product on mobile as a primary-use scenario. Loading performance, navigation structure, bet slip functionality, and ease of placing a bet are all assessed on mobile.

Bet Builder & Accumulators15%

Where a bet builder or accumulator tool is present, we assess flexibility, ease of use, and the range of eligible markets. Products without these features are scored on other criteria.

Payment Options10%

We check for UK debit card support, the availability of common e-wallet options, and the clarity of withdrawal processes. We do not test live transactions.

Terms Transparency10%

How clearly promotional and account terms are presented — including minimum odds requirements, qualifying conditions, and any restrictions that significantly affect usability.

Responsible Gambling10%

Visibility and accessibility of safer gambling tools including deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, and links to external support. We check whether these are easy to find or buried.

What the Scores Mean

Scores are given on a scale of 1.0 to 5.0 and represent a weighted aggregate across the criteria above. A score of 4.0 and above indicates a strong editorial assessment. Scores below 3.0 would reflect significant weaknesses across multiple criteria.

These are editorial judgements. They do not reflect formal audits, regulatory assessments, or guaranteed statements of fact about operator quality. Products change: interfaces are updated, market coverage expands or contracts, and terms are revised. We periodically update reviews, but information may not always reflect the current version of a product.

Corrections and Updates

If you believe a review contains a factual error, please contact us with specifics. We review correction requests and update content where errors are confirmed. We do not remove accurate negative observations at operator request.

Currently Reviewed Products

SportSkinsReviewed operator
3.8/ 5.0 editorial

SportSkins takes an unusual angle by combining standard sportsbook functionality with a skin-based loyalty layer. The market depth on Premier League and Championship football is solid, and the interface handles same-game multiples without too much friction. Mobile layout is clean — navigation doesn't require excessive tapping. Payment options cover standard UK debit card routes. Terms are presented clearly, though as always we recommend reading promotion conditions directly on the operator's site. Safer gambling tools are accessible from the account menu.

TeamBetCompared product
3.6/ 5.0 editorial

TeamBet is built around a social and group betting premise, which separates it clearly from the standard single-account sportsbook format. The horse racing section covers major UK meetings with ante-post and on-the-day markets, and the live betting interface updates at a reasonable pace. Football coverage extends to lower English leagues. The mobile app performs well on both iOS and Android based on our review. Promotions are present but not aggressive — the focus appears to be retention through group features rather than headline offers.

888sportSportsbook profile
4.1/ 5.0 editorial

888sport has been operating in the UK market for a significant period, and the product reflects that experience. Market breadth is a genuine strength — you'll find options from Argentinian football to minor snooker tournaments. The bet builder covers in-play selections on major football matches, and cash-out is available across most pre-match and live markets. The desktop interface is well-structured; mobile performance is equally reliable. Payment processing covers major UK debit card providers and several e-wallet options. Safer gambling features including deposit limits, time-outs, and self-exclusion links are prominently positioned.

IvyBetEditor note
3.5/ 5.0 editorial

IvyBet positions itself as a more refined betting experience, and the interface does deliver on that — the layout is uncluttered, market navigation is logical, and the loading performance on mobile is noticeably quick. Tennis coverage runs from ATP and WTA main draws down to challenger level, which is more thorough than many comparable products. US sports markets (NBA, NFL, MLB) are present with reasonable depth. It's a relatively recent product, so the track record is shorter than established operators — something to factor into your own assessment alongside checking current terms directly.

Prophet LeagueHighlighted operator
3.4/ 5.0 editorial

Prophet League occupies a different space to traditional sportsbooks. The product is built around a prediction and league competition format rather than fixed-odds wagering, which gives it a distinct profile within this comparison. The community stats and leaderboard features add a competitive layer that appeals to a different type of user. Coverage spans football and a handful of other mainstream sports. Mobile usability is a clear priority in the product design. As with any betting or prediction product, users should review the specific mechanics and terms directly on the operator's site.
